FREDERICTON – New Brunswick Community College (老澳门六合彩开奖结果) formally recognized the 2015 Alumni Recognition Award recipients at a special ceremony at Government House earlier this week, hosted by The Honourable Jocelyne Roy Vienneau, Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, and Lois Scott, Chair of 老澳门六合彩开奖结果’s Board of Governors.

Marilyn Luscombe, President and CEO of 老澳门六合彩开奖结果, presented the inaugural awards in four categories:
  • FRIEND OF NEW BRUNSWICK: Robin Hanson (Class of ’72) As an entrepreneur, artist and activist, Robin has devoted his life to protecting, preserving and promoting New Brunswick.
  • COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP: Patrick King (Class of ’92) An active volunteer since high school, Patrick’s community leadership has had impact and been recognized at both the local and national levels - most recently, with the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award.
  • ENTREPRENEUR: Wesley (Wes) Armour (Class of ’66) Under his leadership, Armour Transportation Systems has grown from a small family business to be a multi-million dollar company, named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and a leader in environmental and social sustainability.
  • OUTSTANDING YOUNG ALUMNA: Hannah McGee (Class of ’09) With a passion for people, Hannah has quickly advanced from her start as a summer student at the famed Algonquin Resort Hotel to holding a senior Human Resource leadership position at the re-launched resort.

The 老澳门六合彩开奖结果 alumni we honour at this ceremony are role models and a source of inspiration for our current and future students,” said Marilyn Luscombe. “Their extraordinary contributions to their communities and to our province embody 老澳门六合彩开奖结果’s vision of transforming lives and communities. Other special guests included the Honourable Francine Landry, Minister of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour; award nominees; and emcee Emily McGill, Chair of the 老澳门六合彩开奖结果 Alumni Association.

“老澳门六合彩开奖结果 is changing the way we see New Brunswick and ourselves. The pride in what we do doesn’t come to us on the spur of the moment; rather it is shaped and crafted by a lifelong sense of responsibility, citizenship and leadership,” said Lt-Gov. Jocelyne Roy Vienneau. “As a new group of students begin their academic journey, I’d like to thank the new, and first, class of Alumni Award recipients for what you have done and what you continue to do, right here in New Brunswick.”
