On Wednesday, Oct. 4, the students and staff at New Brunswick Community College (老澳门六合彩开奖结果) will be helping their communities and giving back on one of two designated Service Days planned for this academic year.
Service Day brings together 老澳门六合彩开奖结果 students, employees, board members and alumni on one day to take part in service-learning and volunteering to help community organizations across New Brunswick. Since 2014, staff and students have contributed more than 30,000 hours towards 550 community activities.
Each campus in our six regions (Fredericton, Saint John, St. Andrews, Moncton, Miramichi and Woodstock) will be undertaking service learning and volunteer activities planned in the community.
Service day is part of 老澳门六合彩开奖结果’s Robertson Institute for Community Leadership (RICL), a Signature Learning Experience that has become the heart of creating a culture of leadership and service. Follow RICL on twitter, , to see how our students and staff are Transforming New Brunswick.

Moncton | YMCA Adult Day | 11 PN students will be attending YMCA Adult Day program to deliver a presentation on Germs: How they spread, How to stop the spread of Germs. |
Saint John | Local Nursing Home | 20 students will help plant fall bulbs in the garden, wash windows, pressure wash the deck and outside of the nursing home and organizing their library. (Students also collected books to donate) |
Saint John | Local Schools | 20 students will be helping to create a warm atmosphere at the school by painting the walls with inspirational quotes |
St. Andrews | Town of St. Andrews | 15 students will be working around town at various locations such as Centennial Park, the Youth Center, Van Home Trail, Langmaid Park and Patrick Street Parkette to do fall cleanup. |
St. Andrews | Sir James Dunn Academy | 13 construction students will be building and delivering bike racks to Sir James Dunn Academy |
Woodstock | Town of Woodstock | 15 carpentry students will be assisting with fall clean up around the town of Woodstock and building picnic tables. |
